Sunday Sit
February 1, 2026
10:30am-1pm
Hyde Park, Kansas City
Sunday Sits are extended meditation gatherings designed for people with busy minds and sensitive nervous systems.
This is not a quick drop-in or a silent endurance test.
This is a two-hour container that allows real settling, real practice, and real integration.
Each Sunday Sit includes:
Two hours of alternating walking and seated silent meditation
Time afterward for snacks, conversation, and reflection
Optional 1-on-1 or group sharing to integrate what came up
These sessions are especially supportive for:
High-functioning anxiety
Chronic overthinking
Emotional burnout
People who want meditation to actually help their daily life, not just feel nice in the moment
You don’t have to be “good at meditation.”
You don’t have to stop your thoughts.
You just have to show up.
Suggested Prerequisite: Lily’s Intro to Meditation Course or an established personal meditation practice.
First Sunday Sit:
🗓 January 25
⏰ 10:30am
Donations accepted via venmo or cash
Address emailed upon reservation
Come as you are. Leave more regulated than you arrived.
Held at Lily’s Hyde Park KC home. Space is limited, reservations required.
Living Practice Space
Season One: Craving
A 4-week small group on Zoom
Mondays 6pm-7pm
February 16-March 9
This is a living practice space — a place to sit with ideas, notice patterns in real time, and practice staying present with ourselves and each other.
For this first season, we’ll explore craving:
the pull toward intensity, certainty, relief, attention, love, or distraction.
Not as something to fix or eliminate, but as something to understand and relate to differently.
The group is informed by Buddhist psychology and modern self-inquiry, and supported by shared media (short readings, podcast clips, or talks). The content serves as a starting point — the real practice is noticing how these patterns show up in daily life and in relationship.
This is not a class and it’s not group therapy. It is a facilitated, reflective space where insight, nervous system awareness, and relational presence are practiced together.
What to expect
A closed group meeting weekly for four weeks on Zoom
One seasonal theme explored slowly and experientially
Light shared media (optional, not homework-heavy)
Guided reflection, open sharing, and relational practice
Emphasis on noticing rather than fixing or optimizing
What this space is (and isn’t)
✔️ Therapeutic in nature, but not group therapy
✔️ Facilitated, but not directive or advice-giving
✔️ Insight-oriented, but grounded in lived experience
❌ Not a self-improvement program
❌ Not crisis support or clinical treatment
Participants are responsible for their own support outside the group.
Who this is for
This space may be supportive if you:
Notice a pull toward intensity, urgency, or “more”
Feel activated by craving but tired of chasing it
Are curious about Buddhist psychology in everyday life
Want a reflective group space without pressure to perform or heal
