Solstice Sister Circle
Sunday, December 21, 2025 · 6:30 PM
Lily’s House (address provided upon registration)
The Winter Solstice marks the longest night of the year and the turning point toward returning light. Across cultures, this moment has been used to pause, reflect, and acknowledge what is ending and what is beginning.
This gathering is a simple invitation to mark that turning together. We’ll spend the evening acknowledging the season through reflection and a few gentle rituals designed to honor darkness, transition, and the gradual return of light.
This event is open to the community. You don’t need to be a therapy client to attend. Come as you are.
Bringing food or refreshments is not required, though you’re welcome to share something if you feel inclined.
Space is limited. Registration is required.
Intro to Mindfulness Meditation
Meets four Tuesdays from 6-7pm CST
1/13-2/3
In this month-long introduction to Tibetan Buddhist mindfulness meditation, you’ll learn a 2,500-year-old practice for seeing your experience more clearly—without bias, judgment, or the constant urge to fix yourself.
This course is designed for people who want to build a real meditation practice, not just learn techniques in theory. You’ll receive clear instruction, weekly guidance, and the support of practicing in community, along with gentle accountability to help your practice actually take root.
Participants are asked to meditate for 20 minutes a day, five days a week outside of our weekly Zoom meetings. No prior meditation experience is required—this course is appropriate for beginners as well as those who have meditated before and want a more grounded, consistent approach.
This offering may be especially supportive if you’re interested in:
Understanding your mind with more clarity and less self-judgment
Developing a steady, sustainable meditation habit
Learning mindfulness rooted in Tibetan Buddhist tradition
Practicing alongside others rather than entirely on your own
This course may not be the best fit if you’re looking for a drop-in class, quick relaxation techniques only, or a purely conceptual discussion of mindfulness without a regular sitting commitment. The emphasis here is on consistency and practice over shortcuts.
Please obtain a copy of The Wisdom of No Escape by Pema Chödrön, which will be used as a supplemental text throughout the course.
Weekly sessions will be held live on Zoom, and recordings will be available for participants who are unable to attend in real time.
